Showerline is committed to lowering our impact on the environment. Our target is to become carbon neutral by 2012.
Although, 2012 is some years away, we are not waiting until that date to start improving our business methods to become a more responsible manufacturer. We believe becoming more responsible isn’t some marketing gimmick, but something that has to be done for the benefit of all. It also set us a goal to strive for that just isn’t the bottom line.
As we are a family owned and operated business, we are fortunate that we can make changes faster and have more effect.
Currently,where ever possible we use raw materials that have a low or zero impact. We actively recycle all our aluminium used in the production of our shower screens, we donate our laminated glass to be recycled and used as reflective material in road line paint. All paper used is recycled, we discourage printing of emails, we use online internal bulletin boards to communicate with our staff, encourage all staff to switch off all electronic devices when they aren’t in use and ask our staff to come up with and implement other programs that can help.
We have also began to move all our fleet over to cleaner energy such as diesel and LPG. We currently have 25% using this energy.
